DOCENT-LED WALKING TOUR-SUNDAYS (12:30)

NEW for September 2020: Self-guided walking tour of Pacific Heights. 

Pacific Heights is best known for being one of the most expensive and wealthiest neighborhoods in San Francisco. This tour highlights the diversity of the architecture and changes post-1906.

 

The walking tour covers approximately 15 blocks (0.8 miles) of Pacific Heights. The walk is moderate, and includes a few hills. Walkers are encouraged to customize to their interest and comfort level. The tour sequence is neither chronological, nor in order of any importance.

Pacific Heights is best known for being one of the most expensive and wealthiest neighborhoods in San Francisco. This tour highlights not only the diversity of the architecture, but also the cultural mix of people who built, occupied and maintained these grand properties.

WHERE and WHEN: The tour begins in the Ballroom of the Haas-Lilienthal House (2007 Franklin Street), at 12:30 PM, weather permitting. Reservations are required. Reservations can be made by email:plarson@sfheritage.org

The tour covers approximately 15 blocks and takes about 1.5 hours. Subject to cancellation due to weather conditions. Layered clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The tour includes moderate hills, and the pace is comfortable for most people.

Guests are welcome take our new self-guided tour of the Haas-Lilienthal House either before, or after, the walking tour (see HOUSE TOURS for more details).
